Bahrain Prepares to Welcome the Exhibition World

28th August 2026

Exhibition World Bahrain will host the 93rd UFI Global Congress from 2 to 5 November 2026, marking the first time the exhibition industry’s leading international gathering has taken place in the Kingdom.

Hosted by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the congress will bring hundreds of senior executives, venue operators, exhibition organisers, association leaders, government representatives and industry innovators to Sakhir.

The programme will examine the future of exhibitions and business events through strategic discussions, international keynotes, leadership forums, technical visits and networking opportunities. For delegates, it will also offer direct exposure to Bahrain’s developing events ecosystem and the wider Gulf market.

Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA and Chairperson of Exhibition World Bahrain, described the congress as “a defining moment for Bahrain and a reflection of the Kingdom’s growing position within the global business events industry.”

Opened in 2022, EWB offers 95,000 square metres of exhibition space across ten halls, alongside convention, meeting and hospitality facilities. Its selection reflects Bahrain’s investment in large-scale event infrastructure, connectivity and the development of business tourism as part of its wider economic diversification strategy.

The congress also places Bahrain at the centre of discussions about how exhibitions are responding to sustainability, technology and changing business models. As the flagship annual meeting of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, it provides a forum where industry leaders can build partnerships and help shape the sector’s international direction.

Registration remains open to exhibition and business-events professionals, including eligible members of UFI, AIPCICCA and SISO.
